New Director of Music at Hexham Abbey

 

Marcus Wibberley is the new Director of Msuic at Hexham. He has replaced Michael Haynes who has held the post for ten years,

and who has now decided to continue his academic career.

 

Marcus has recently been assistant at Portsmouth Cathedral. Marcus was a chorister at Westminster Abbey and previously worked at Chichester, and

York Minster.

 

He has performed throughout England as well as in continental Europe, the Baltic States and the USA.  He is broadcast regularly by the BBC and features on several recordings. He is Secretary of the Association of Assistant Cathedral Organists.

 

We welcome him the North.
